Long nights

Relaxing
The days are short and the nights are long. We wake in the dark and go to bend in the dark. November is the putting away, getting ready and final surrender to the winter ahead. It is filled with sunshine, warm fall days, snow, birds leaving, deer rutting, men hunting and farmers relaxing. Just when the wives finally get their husbands back from the long harvest season the hunting season calls them out again. Fall is ending and winter is starting.
